OPTIONAL: WELLS Criteria Scoring Tools:

You have learned about several risk-stratification scores to use when making decisions about patient care. Two examples are the Morse Fall Risk score and the Braden Skin tool. Did you know that physicians and other providers like Nurse Practitioners use risk-stratification scores too? When examining a patient who might have a DVT or PE, these providers often use what is called the Well's Criteria.
