Welcome to Math for IVs! We will be meeting in room WA 108 on 1/7/26 from 1:00-4:00 pm. I have attached the Power Point slide decks we will be discussing in class. There will be calculations on every exam. Please refer to the test blueprint.

The purpose of this course is to provide you with the tools necessary to calculate manual IV drop rates, IV rates when using a pump, calculations for IV push and intermittent IVs, IV medications based on weight, and IV heparin bolus and infusions. I recommend that you review chapters 12, 13, and 14 in the Ogden calculations of drug doses textbook.
