Canvas Help Features
Using Help
It is extremely important that you use the Help icon to give us feedback or to report an issue or error. You can see the Help icon in the bottom left hand corner of any page in Canvas. This icon appears as a question mark with the word "help" appearing beneath it.
This button will be visible in the same place no matter where you are in your course. Make sure to click the Help icon on the page you are having issues with. This will help the SF Online support staff figure out what problem is occurring. Once you click on the Help icon, you will be asked to choose the appropriate selection and you will be provided a place for your comment.
Ask your instructor a question When you select this option a small conversation window will open and you will be able to send a question directly to your instructors INBOX. Questions specifically related to course content and assignments can be addressed here. Example: "Where is the syllabus?" Search the Canvas Guides When you select this option a page with links to all of the guides and questions related to the technical aspect of Canvas will appear. A separate video follows with more details about this option. Example: "How do I submit a file to an Assignment?" SF Online Problem Report Choosing this options opens a form, which when completed will be forwarded to Santa Fe's Canvas Help department for review. Example: "I see 2 sections of the same course." or "I can't see my course at all."
