In this modern era of technology where the technology has emerged to the point that the need for a laptop or computer is a daily-life necessity for everyone. But with the passage of time, more people prefer buying a laptop instead of a computer because it is much easier to carry your laptop around hence being very convenient to use. Another benefit of having a laptop is one doesn’t need to have continuous access to electricity to use the laptop as a computer but laptops have their own battery which can run for hours without a continuous supply of electricity. There is merely a difference between a laptop and a computer because laptops can do almost everything a computer is capable of doing; in fact, it can do more than a computer.

Being more convenient and efficient than a computer, its benefits are just not limited to these points. Laptops have numerous additional features that can attract millions of people regardless of their age. The only hurdle or difficulty that most of us come across when buying a laptop is to select one laptop out of various different laptops and their features. There are multiple vendors out there in the market that deal with different quality laptops depending upon your price range.

Adam Lumb from LaptopUnboxed says "No matter what your price range is, there are way too many different types of laptops to choose from depending on their features”

Before buying a laptop, there are numerous solid things you can check before buying a laptop i.e the built of the laptop.

According to Odeh Bassem from EcomDimes “It is an essential thing to check before considering buying a laptop, many buyers forget to do that and then they end up falling into trouble. Because most laptops are damaged after you drop them but if the build of your laptop is solid, then you don’t need to worry about it”

Here are some essential points to remember before considering buying a laptop.

  • Size and build of the laptop: If you are thinking of buying a laptop because it is convenient to take it with you and easily be carried out? then the size of the laptop matters a lot because it becomes quite difficult to carry a big laptop in your bag. If you are a student and considering buying the laptop so you can carry it around your school or college, then it is important to buy a laptop that can easily be carried instead of big and bulky laptops.
  • Keyboard quality: Another important and very essential thing to look out for is the keys of your laptop. You need to confirm that the keys of your laptop should remain intact, and to double-check that, press the keys simultaneously and check out if your fingers are getting used to it.
  • Random Access Memory (RAM): RAM stands for Random Access Memory that allows you to open various applications and software at one time in order for your laptop not to get heated up and you can easily access multiple applications at once. Back in the days, 4GB RAM was good to go, but with the advancement of technology and the generation of petabytes of data, today we need more access to different things and do various things at the laptop at the same time. This is why laptops with 8GB RAM are compulsory. Some buyers even go for 16 GB RAM to get better features.
  • Storage of your Laptop: For me personally, I think storage matters the most while choosing different laptops. I consider high storage laptops with Solid State Drive (SSD) because they are better than conventional hard drives which are slower and make more noise than SSDs, which is why more and more people are preferring these over hard drives.
  • Battery Timing: Finally, a good laptop must possess a long battery life and timing so that you can rely on it while you are working. Your laptop needs to have as much battery life as your job requires, but the more the battery life, the pricier the laptop would be.
